- Either book a room at the Marriott for the full price or book a room at one of the following hotels for Wednesday and Thursday night and then move to the Marriott for Friday and Saturday night! We recommend the Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn and the Springhill Suites. Be sure to mention your association with GLAC if you use these hotels as you can receive a discounted price; see contact information below.
- Why move to the Downtown Marriott for Friday and Saturday night? If you do not have a vehicle, staying downtown will provide you with access to restaurants, etc. without having to rely on the shuttle services to get back and forth. Please note that the other hotels are not as central to the conference location nor to the downtown restaurants, etc. There are some other hotels/motels downtown, but we would caution against them (they're not the greatest places!)

Getting to Provo
AIRPORTS
There are two potential airports for conference goers to use to reach Provo: the Provo Airport or the Salt Lake City Airport.
Provo Airport (PVU) is currently servicing flights to and from the following airports (and is accepting reservations through February 2015): LAX (Los Angeles), Oakland/San Francisco, and Phoenix/Mesa. Downtown Provo is then a 5-8 minute drive from the airport and can be reached via the hotel shuttle (call ahead) or by taxi cab. Hertz and Enterprise offer car rentals at PVU airport.
Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is a major Delta hub located approximately 49 miles from downtown Provo. Serviced by all major airlines, SLC is approximately 45 minutes by car from Provo. SLC is serviced by all major car rental companies.
GETTING TO PROVO FROM SLC AIRPORT:
Shuttle: Express Shuttle offers shuttle service from SLC to Provo for about $34 each way ($68 round trip). They encourage reservations to be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Taxi: Taxis to Provo can be hailed at SLC for about $100 each way.
Overview of UTA FrontRunner: Please note: At present, there is no FrontRunner service on Sundays.
Conference goers can take TRAX light rail and FrontRunner commuter rail from SLC airport to within six blocks of the conference location for under $10 one way.
For those flying into the area, it is important to note that Provo is located an hour south of Salt Lake City (in good traffic). As such, UTA is an option that could potentially save you a lot of money in cab/shuttle fares.
AIRPORT TO PROVO
Since most of you will be arriving during the workweek, getting from Salt Lake Int’l Airport to the Provo Marriott via public transit will be fairly easy. Simply follow the signs in the airport to the Light Rail (locally called TRAX), purchase your ticket at the machine by the doors (you can use cash or credit card), and take the Green Line (your only option) toward West Valley. This train departs every 15 minutes between 05:42 and 22:42.
Exit at the North Temple Bridge/Guadalupe station and descend the escalator to transfer to the southbound Frontrunner train to Provo Central. You will have to purchase a separate ticket for this. Trains depart every half hour for most of the day, though they’re considerably less frequent in the late evening; the last southbound train leaves at 23:45. Provo Central Station is seven blocks south of the Marriott. To get to the Marriott from the train, walk towards the road (200 West/Freedom Blvd) and turn right to walk northbound. Turn right onto 100 North and the Marriott will be on your right.
