Poster Sessions and
Teaching Expo for Teachers
of Germanic Languages
Size of Posters (All Sessions):
If you will be presenting a poster at GLAC/Teaching Expo, please make sure to use the following guidelines for sizes. Posters should measure no more than 3ft by 4ft (90cm x 120cm). Poster presenters should plan to present and discuss their work for at least one hour during their assigned poster session.

Teaching Expo Poster Ideas
Join German teachers (and others who are teaching other Germanic languages like Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian) from all over the state and around the country in Provo! Teachers will share
concrete ideas for teaching (and assessing) the German language and culture in
poster format. You will leave with tons of new ideas you can integrate into
your teaching the following Monday!

SUBMISSION PROCESS:
We have simplified the submission process. Proposals should be less than 1 page and include the following information:
Title of your poster presentation
Main point: What do you hope to convey to fellow teachers? (Suggested: 50-100 words)
Content: What will you show? Give a brief overview of the details of your presentation. What approaches will you share? What unique contribution does your teaching approach make? (Suggested: 100-200 words)
Take away for teachers: What will your fellow teachers be able to do after visiting your poster and talking with you? How can they implement these ideas in their classes? (Suggested: 50- 100 words)
